The GEA group, a food processing engineering giant in Germany with over 18,000 employees, was looking for highly specialized, experienced salespeople located in the SouthEast United States, selling equipment used in the preparing, separating, and processing of meat, poultry, and other products.
Recruiting for this role required a high level of technical knowledge of not just the industry itself, but the landscape of the industry globally. In Europe, there are multiple streams of education where engineers can follow commercial and business development career paths. Goldbeck recruited directly from their competitors in the industry and presented several qualified candidates. We presented the first few candidates within 2 weeks, and the hiring decision was finalized in 2 months and the successful candidates started after giving their notice. We recruited across the Eastern United States but managed to find a candidate already in the applicable territory.
